1. Where are you originally from, and where do you live now?

Chattanooga native – born and raised. I moved away to live at a beach in NC for about 3 years, but came back!

2. How long have you been in the sign industry and/or with HEALTHCARESIGNS.com?

I am coming up on 5 years now with HealthcareSigns.com.

3. What’s the most rewarding part of your job?

Being able to work with the customers (although indirectly) and getting them something they actually need, instead of what they think they need. I feel like a lot of times our customers are stressed out and frantic by the time they get to us. Being able to make the process as painless as possible for them is always a great feeling.

4. What’s something you’ve learned since being in the industry?

Signs are typically not thought of until the project is further along than it should be.

5. What’s one thing healthcare professionals don’t often know about signs?

How many processes are involved in making them. I hear Customer Service explain to someone every day that our signs are all handmade and made to order.

6. If you had unlimited money and could go anywhere: where would you go and why?

I really want to travel more. I would love to visit some places out West like Colorado or Utah and overseas to Scotland, Ireland, and Greece. I love the mountains and woods; being able to sit on a deck with a cup of coffee in the morning and listen to nature is *a chef’s kiss*.

7. Outside of helping clients get the best signs ever, what do you enjoy doing?

Meal planning, grocery shopping, and cooking are my passions. Seriously there is nothing I love more than planning a weekly menu, going and getting everything needed from the store, then preparing everything on said day.

8. What is your favorite restaurant in the world, and what’s your go-to travel meal?

Bea’s is my lifetime favorite due to nostalgia and they just make really good fried chicken! I am not a fancy girl, give me a meat and three. My go-to travel meal would be Culver’s for a butter burger. The only traveling we do these days is up to KY to see my Mother in Law and there is one up there.

9. What travel accessory can you not do without?

Amy, her husband, and their 2 kids

Since we mostly just travel to KY, I would have to say a car charger. To make sure my phone never dies and I can play something mind-numbing like Cocomelon or Baby Shark or my son’s favorite guitar song (Ocean by Jon Butler Trio).

10. What’s your favorite TV show or movie?

I don’t think I have a favorite, truly. Braveheart was my favorite movie growing up.  I really liked the show Fringe, but also like Bob’s Burgers, American Dad, Family Guy, King of the Hill, etc.
