Every manufacturing company needs a full-time Operations/Safety Officer; Ours is Bee Thompson. While her official title reads, “6S Project Coordinator,” Bee is intrinsically responsible for massive improvements throughout our facility. By continuing to enforce the 6S program, Bee helps to improve our efficiency and safety on a daily basis.

1. Where are you originally from, and where do you live now?

I am originally from the Detroit area in Michigan and I now live in Chattanooga, Tennessee where I couldn’t be happier! 

2.   How long have you been in the sign industry and/or with HealthcareSigns.com? 

As of this month, I have officially been with HealthcareSigns.com for 5 years. I started out as the Production Administrative Assistant and have now moved on to being the 6S Project Coordinator. 

3.   What’s the most rewarding part of your job? 

I love to solve puzzles, so it’s always amazing to see a process improved or an area reorganized to flow better. I especially enjoy getting to work with other sign artisans that are normally outside of my typical day-to-day function.

4.   What’s one thing healthcare professionals don’t often know about signs?

Healthcare professionals don’t often realize the amount of work that goes into each and every aspect of a “simple” sign – it is actually mind-boggling! 

5.   If you had unlimited money and could go anywhere: where would you go and why?

If I had unlimited money and could travel anywhere, I would go to SPACE. I want to float among the stars and wander the planets. Maybe I could even hang out with whatever lifeforms I might find? 

6.   Outside of helping clients get the best signs ever, what do you enjoy doing?

I enjoy spending whatever free time I can find reading, doodling, and playing with my puppy. I’m a frequent participant in area 5k races (Go Team SprIntersign!). I also volunteer with a local multi-fandom convention where I get to dress up as all kinds of characters and interact with guests. 

7.  What’s your favorite TV show or movie?

My top 3 favorite TV shows are (and in no particular order): Gravity Falls, Hannibal, and Letterkenny.
